# Estafeta credential requirements

Prior to shipping with Estafeta, you must configure credentials in the [Shipium Console](https://partner.shipium.com/login). You'll provide API key, client secret, customer number, subscriber ID, sales organization, and contractual multi-label endpoint information for production and test mode.

Estafeta's service methods and their identifiers are listed on the [Supported Carriers](https://docs.shipium.com/docs/supported-carriers#estafeta) page.

# Additional requirements

For single-parcel shipments, the following additional required field should be nested in the `shipmentParameters` property. For [multi-parcel shipments](https://docs.shipium.com/docs/multi-parcel-shipments), it should be included in `multiParcelShipmentParameters`.

## Required fields

| Request field | Details |
| --- | --- |
| `customsInfo.customsDescription` | **Type:** String<br>**Example:**`mercancia`<br>**Description:** The detailed description of the items being shipped; the default value is `mercancia`. Although there is a default value, as this is a strict requirement, providing the most accurate product description possible is recommended. |

A snippet of the JSON request for the API call with the required field is included. This example is for a single-parcel shipment. A multi-parcel shipment would be included in `multiParcelShipmentParameters`.

JSON

```json
{
"shipmentParameters": {
"customsInfo":  {
       "customsDescription": "mercancia",
       ...
     }
 }
```
